A man loved and admired by all. Lynton continuously evolved his business model over the years to create the largest, most versatile range of bespoke upholstered furniture designs in South Africa. He took pride in the quality, comfort and attention to detail that Leisure Lounge offers.

At the heart of Leisure Lounge is a remarkable team of dedicated craftsmen and professionals whose expertise brings every piece of furniture to life. From our frame makers, joinery specialists, pattern makers and cutters to our upholsterers, seamstresses, button makers and quality control team, every individual plays an essential role in creating furniture of exceptional quality.
Supported by our drivers, warehouse team, cleaners and support staff, this talented group shares a commitment to precision, craftsmanship and pride in their work. Every sofa, chair and custom-made piece that leaves our workshop is the result of many skilled hands working together with one shared purpose — to create furniture that our customers will enjoy for years to come.
Together, they are the foundation of Leisure Lounge's reputation for quality, attention to detail and proudly South African craftsmanship.
Senior Management
Susan Lloyd
Susan Lloyd has been an integral part of the Leisure Lounge family since 2009, bringing with her more than four decades of experience in interior décor and design. Having successfully owned and operated her own interior design business for over 30 years, Susan possesses an exceptional understanding of furniture, scale, proportion and timeless design. Her passion for creating beautiful, functional living spaces is matched only by her dedication to developing and inspiring the people around her.
Following the tragic passing of her husband, Lynton Lloyd, the visionary Founder of Leisure Lounge, Susan assumed the role of Managing Director in 2021. With remarkable strength, grace and determination, she has continued to honour his legacy while guiding the business into an exciting new era of growth and innovation.
Under Susan's leadership, Leisure Lounge remains committed to exceptional craftsmanship, bespoke design and uncompromising customer service. Above all, Susan leads with integrity, compassion and an enduring commitment to excellence, ensuring that every client experiences the quality, care and personalised service that have become synonymous with the Leisure Lounge name.
Johan Ceronio
Johan Ceronio joined Leisure Lounge in 2025 as General Manager, bringing with him more than 25 years of project management experience across a wide range of industries. A passionate leader with a people-first approach, Johan thrives on solving complex technical challenges and driving operational excellence throughout the business. His keen interest in engineering and carpentry gives him a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship behind every piece of furniture we create. Committed to empowering his team and continuously improving our processes, Johan plays an integral role in ensuring Leisure Lounge continues to deliver exceptional quality, innovation and customer satisfaction.
Samantha Engelbrecht
Samantha Engelbrecht joined Leisure Lounge in early 2025 as our Sales Manager, bringing with her more than a decade of sales expertise and eight years of senior management experience. Her passion for understanding clients' needs, combined with strong leadership and strategic thinking, helps ensure every customer enjoys an exceptional experience from their first showroom visit through to delivery. Samantha's creative background in make-up artistry, prosthetic design and body painting reflects her keen eye for detail, colour and design, bringing an additional layer of creativity to the Leisure Lounge team.
Ayesha Sheik Madar
Ayesha Sheik Madar joined Leisure Lounge in June 2026, bringing with her a strong background in finance and bookkeeping. With a meticulous eye for detail and a passion for accuracy, she plays a vital role in ensuring the company's financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. From maintaining accurate financial records and reconciling accounts to supporting sound financial management, Ayesha's expertise helps provide a strong foundation for the business. While much of her work takes place behind the scenes, her professionalism, reliability and commitment to excellence contribute significantly to the exceptional service and high standards that define the Leisure Lounge experience.
Mayville Factory & Showroom
Tayla Herbst
Tayla Herbst joined Leisure Lounge in January 2026 after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and is currently furthering her expertise by studying towards her Honours degree. Based in our Mayville showroom, she works closely with both retail customers and interior designers, helping bring their vision to life through thoughtful design advice and personalised furniture solutions. Tayla also manages the ordering of fabrics for every piece in production, ensuring each custom creation is crafted to the highest standard. Her friendly approach, attention to detail and passion for interior design make her a valued member of the Leisure Lounge team, dedicated to creating a seamless and inspiring experience for every client.
Hillcrest Showroom
Marilyn Duke
Marilyn Duke joined the Leisure Lounge team on 1 May 2026, bringing with her an extensive background in advertising, marketing and photography. Her creative flair, combined with a keen eye for design and aesthetics, enables her to help clients transform their ideas into beautifully curated living spaces. Marilyn's innovative approach and ability to think beyond the conventional allow her to recommend bespoke furniture solutions tailored to each client's lifestyle and vision. Passionate about collaboration and exceptional customer service, she is dedicated to guiding every client seamlessly from inspiration to the finished piece.
Njabulo Mbambo
Njabulo Mbambo joined Leisure Lounge in 2026 as a Sales Assistant, where he combines a strong design background from his BA in Interior Design and Honours studies with practical showroom experience to assist clients in finding furniture and interior solutions that align with both their aesthetic vision and functional requirements. Working closely with customers, he provides thoughtful guidance on fabric and product selections, translating ideas into well-resolved, practical outcomes for residential and hospitality spaces. Njabulo brings a strong design sensibility, attention to detail and a client-centred approach, ensuring each interaction is both creatively informed and solution-driven from initial consultation through to final delivery.

Robyn Toerien
Robyn Toerien has been a valued member of the Leisure Lounge team for over a year, bringing with her a strong background in retail sales, customer service and many years of experience in retail merchandising. Her passion lies in helping clients transform their furniture ideas into beautifully crafted, custom-made pieces that perfectly suit their homes and lifestyles. With a warm, approachable nature and a keen eye for detail, Robyn takes pride in representing a brand renowned for exceptional craftsmanship, timeless design and outstanding customer service, ensuring every client enjoys a seamless and rewarding experience from concept to completion.
Thobile Dlamini
Thobile Dlamini joined Leisure Lounge in 2026, bringing with her a wealth of experience in customer service gained through several years in luxury retail and four years in the hospitality industry. Having previously worked in high-end boutique stores, she understands the importance of delivering exceptional, personalised service and creating memorable customer experiences. With a natural passion for home interiors and a creative eye for design, Thobile enjoys helping clients find the perfect furniture solutions to complement their homes. Her warm, approachable nature and dedication to excellence make her a valued member of the Ballito showroom team.
Candice Smith
After an incredible 21 years of unwavering dedication, Candice Smith left Leisure Lounge in June 2026 to begin a new chapter in the United Kingdom, where she will be reunited with her only family.
For more than two decades, Candice gave her heart and soul to our brand. She worked six days a week, every week, with passion, integrity and tireless commitment. Leisure Lounge is what it is today because of her.
Candice has been the foundation of our brand integrity, the guardian of our values and a constant source of strength, guidance and inspiration. Her attention to detail, her relentless work ethic and her genuine care for people have left a legacy that will continue to shape us for years to come.
We are endlessly grateful for every early morning, every late night and every sacrifice she made for Leisure Lounge.
She wasn't just part of the business — she was the heart of it.
